    What's the story

Bharti Airtel has announced a scheme wherein Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available for a down-payment of Rs. 7,900, as part of a contract.

After the down payment, buyers will have to pay Rs. 2,999/month for a period of 24 months which will be utilized for a top-end postpaid plan.

But is the deal worth it? Here's more about it.

    Information

About the Airtel Rs. 2,999 monthly postpaid pack

Under this monthly pack, you will get unlimited calls (local+STD), free national roaming, and 100GB data with rollover options. Additional benefits include one-year free subscription of Amazon Prime, free access to Airtel TV and Wynk Music app, and free Airtel Secure device protection plan.

    Details

Here's how much you will have to pay for 24-months

For 24 months, you pay a total amount of Rs. 79,876 (Rs. 71,976 for the monthly plans and Rs. 7,900 as down-payment).

Comparing this to the price of Note 9 (128GB variant) which comes at Rs. 67,900, you end up paying approximately Rs. 12,000 more.

This means, the Airtel Rs. 2,999 postpaid plan will effectively cost you just Rs. 500 per month.

    Information

Is the Airtel contract worth it? Depends

However, you may not be able to upgrade your device/monthly plan during the period of the contract. Hence, if you are looking to own the Note 9 and use it for 2 years, this deal is best suited for you, considering the postpaid plan benefits.

    Easy-peasy

Here's how you can avail the offer

Note 9 is available starting today exclusively via the Airtel Online Store and deliveries are slated to begin from August 22.

To avail the offer, you will have to register for the device and check eligibility on the Airtel e-store.

Upon getting the loan approval, you will have to pay the down-payment.

Notably, your postpaid plan will be activated once the device is delivered.

    Details

Samsung Galaxy Note 9: At a glance

The Note 9 retains the design language of its predecessor. However, Samsung has shaved off some millimeters to offer slimmer top and bottom bezels.

Further, the fingerprint sensor has now been repositioned and sits below the camera module.

The Galaxy Note 9 offers a 6.4-inch QHD+ (1440x2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 516ppi.

    Do you know?

Currently, Airtel is offering only the 128GB variant

Under the offer, Airtel is currently offering the Galaxy Note 9 128GB storage variant only. As for the color options, this variant will be available in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Metallic Copper colors.
