Distinguishing features of Thar Armada models
The entry-level Thar Armada model lacks certain features such as a rear washer and wiper, which are included in the mid-range and high-end trims.
The base version is equipped with five silver steel wheels. In contrast, the mid-range variant comes with a spare black-painted steel wheel and four alloy rims.
Interestingly, the alloy wheel design for the mid-range model differs from that of the high-end variant.

Thar Armada's design and potential features
Earlier spy shots of the Thar Armada revealed a unique square-shaped rear quarter glass design.
However, recent sightings indicate all test vehicles now feature triangular round-edged glass instead.
There is also speculation that rear disc brakes may not be included in the base model, but are likely to be part of the mid and high-end versions.

Inside Thar Armada: Interior updates
Car enthusiast Sunny Manesar captured images showing updates to the Thar Armada's interior.
These include a free-standing 10.0-inch infotainment panel, a Scorpio N steering wheel, front and rear armrests, rear AC vents, and door-specific window controls.
Other features include a single-pane sunroof, roof-mounted speakers, and enhanced trunk space with an added subwoofer.
These updates indicate Mahindra's focus on enhancing passenger comfort and driving experience.
Launch details
Thar Armada's powertrain and launch details
Thar Armada will share its powertrain with its 3-door sibling, featuring 2.0-liter petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engines.
Initially, Mahindra plans to release only 4X4 versions, with 4X2 versions to follow later.
A locking rear differential is expected to be standard across all models at launch.
The Thar Armada is slated for launch on August 15, 2024, and will compete with Maruti Suzuki Jimny, and the Force Gurkha.
