    What's the story

Indian electric vehicle manufacturer iVOOMi Energy has launched two electric scooter models, S1 and Jeet, in India. The latter is available in two variants - Jeet and Jeet Pro.

The e-scooters come with a sporty design, an LED headlight, a range of up to 130km, and new-age features such as park assist as well as Find My Scooter.

    Context

    Why does this story matter?

The electric scooter market in India is witnessing a rapid rise. With the increase in fuel prices, this number is only going to hit new highs.

This ripe patch is attracting new manufacturers like iVOOMi Energy, who hope to make use of their 'made-in-India' tag and affordable prices to carve out a space.

The company plans to expand its retail footprint to 150 dealerships.

    Design

The scooters offer a 170mm ground clearance

The iVOOMi Jeet and S1 sport a headlight-mounted front apron, a flat footboard, a single-piece seat with a pillion grab rail, and a 30-liter boot space. The latter has a backrest as well.

They pack LED headlights, a digital speedometer, and ride on blacked-out alloy wheels.

The scooters have a ground clearance of 170mm and are available in Red, Blue, and Gray color options.

    Information

Jeet and Jeet Pro delivers a range of 130km

The iVOOMi Jeet and Jeet Pro feature a 1.5kW and 2kW battery packs, respectively, with a range of up to 130km on a single charge. The S1 packs a 2kW electric motor linked to a 2.0kWh swappable Lithium-ion battery pack good for 115km of range.

    Safety

For safety, they have Find My Scooter and Parking Assist

For rider's safety, the iVOOMi Jeet and S1 are equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. They also have features like Find My Scooter and Parking Assist.

Suspension duties on the two-wheelers are handled by telescopic forks on the front end and twin shock absorbs on the rear side.

    Information

    iVOOMi Jeet and S1: Pricing

The iVOOMi Jeet is priced at Rs. 82,999, while the Jeet Pro costs Rs. 92,999. The S1 model carries a price-tag of Rs. 84,999 (all prices, ex-showroom).
